The heritage Desert Willow is our smallest room and is comfortable for solo travelers, those who want to try out “tiny living”, or couples who love to sleep close.

The founders of The Hoosier, H.B. Lotz (Harold) and his wife Jennie, moved to Truth or Consequences (then named “Hot Springs”) from Indiana. This room is located right next to the original 1937 well, bathhouse, and lap pool where Mrs. Lotz used the hot springs for health benefits.

What we love most about The Desert Willow Room:
The historic charm, cozy retreat vibe, and reading by the window.

Mrs. Jennie Lotz and son James (Jim) Lotz in the original lap pool.

The concrete walls of the lap pool and the ceiling hooks used to help lift Mrs. Lotz into the water are still visible in the Guest Laundry Room.
